Come and explore the Orpellières Natural Reserve along the Orb. From Sérignan, go down the river unto the sea by this typically Mediterranean environment or discover the forgotten mills of St Pierre.
Alone, with family or friends, discover our options adapted to your different levels of physical fitness and why not, go and enjoy a quiet corner of the beach far from the hustle and bustle of summer coastal traffic. You can also explore the Orb river on its wildest and least-known section.

This option lets you make the most of this stretch of the river at the best price. On the day of your trip, you can take advantage of our advice on your choice of destination (Moulins wisigoths de St Pierre, the beach, maison de site des Orpellières…) depending on your physical condition and the weather. The relaxing and eco-friendly choice for a full day on the water. Picnic lunch recommended.

Choose the length of your trip to suit your mood or physical condition, in a very quiet, wooded setting just a few steps from the village. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature. This trip is ideal for beginners or for those who want to ride with their dog.
2. THE DESCENT OF THE MILL

- Departure from Sérignan Shuttle on the way up - you return to the base navigating.
Go to the Sérignan base to pick up the equipment. A shuttle will then take you to our secret water launch upstream.
You will soon arrive navigating to the St Pierre mill (which dates back to the Wisigoth, about the sixth century).
You’ll be able to appreciate the premises and get back on track towards Sérignan after a small pause on a river beach.
You will navigate along the green banks of the Orb and enjoy the calm of these natural and preserved areas. If you are discreet and observant, it is very likely that you will meet people along the way (fish, turtles, birds of prey, kingfishers, etc.).
On arrival, your car is waiting for you to leave the car park directly.
3. ALONG THE NATURE RESERVE

Enjoy the peaceful and typical landscapes of a southern basin at following the quiet rhythm of the Orb. Navigate on the banks of the Natural Reserve of Orpellières to discover the local fauna and flora. From the departure to the estuary, you’ll notice the transition of nature, the large trees from the beginning will gradually turn into reeds. By coming closer to the sea, the presence of sailing ships and ports will immerse you in the world of the sailors.
You’ll stop just before the sea at the “Quai des Huîtres” and one of our shuttles will take you back to the point of departure so that you can recover your car.

15 last minutes navigating will finally allow you to join the shuttle at the “Quai des Huîtres” to go back to the departure point.

You start when the base closes and we pick you up before the night.
Enjoy the beautiful colours of the end of the day, watch the sun behind the Pyrenees chain, lay on the sand… Please foresee refreshments to make the most of the moment.
People at the end of the day will gradually leave, leaving the room for the calm, allowing you to appreciate the noise of the waves on the sand.
Take a windbreak or a small jacket to anticipate the freshness of the evening.

Tuesday 10 a.m.: From the water, enjoy the hidden and little-known site of the Moulins de Saint-Pierre, the fauna and flora, and the history of the Orb.
Sunday afternoon: Departing from the Maison des Orpellières, come and explore the nature reserve, along the Orb and down to the sea.
Important information
- Some courses are passable even on windy days.
- We are the only ones to offer canoe trips on this stretch of river.
- It is mandatory to be at least 4 years old, to weigh 18 kg minimum and know how to swim 25 m, as well as know how to immerse yourself.
- The water level ensures that the canoes never scrape the bottom.
- Our river is calm, with little current and no rapids. The current being weak, there are no difficulties in paddling against the current.
- Increased security : permanent telephone contact, lifeguard access at sea, numerous rescue accesses.
- All our formulas include all the required equipment and a 24 L transport container.
- Swimwear recommended (you will get wet in the canoes) andake your precautions against the sun.
- You have the possibility to come with pets such as dogs, cats or turkeys, but we can only offer you our routes without a shuttle.
- For the possibilities of access for people with disabilities, you can contact us by phone.
- For routes leading to the sea, it is strictly forbidden to exceed the 300 meter line, materialized by the yellow buoys. The boats are not equipped with the necessary safety equipment to go beyond this zone.
- We are a family business, with us it’s not the factory and good humor is mandatory.

At the end of your journey to the sea, the return shuttle can leave you at the entrance to Sérignan Plage (‘La Maïre’ bus stop) or you can return to Valras Plage directly with the “Lily Passeur” boat, which provides the link between the “Quai des Huîtres” and the port of Valras beach. In this way, you do not have to take the bus back or return to the base.
- Line E: Allows you to reach the base from Béziers (20 min) or Valras Plage (10 min), by arriving at the “Promenade” stop at 1 minute walking. When you leave the bus, you only have to cross the pedestrian bridge: the base is just on the other side. Frequency, 2 buses per hour.
- Line 3: Allows you to reach the base from Villeneuve-lès-Béziers (15 min) or Valras beach (15 min), by arriving at the Sérignan Passerelle stop, you will be just in front of the entrance of the base. Frequency: 1 bus per hour.
- Line 20: Allows you to reach the base from Villeneuve-lès-Béziers (15 min) or Sérignan beach (7 min), by arriving at the Sérignan Passerelle stop, you will be just in front of the entrance of the base. Frequency 1 bus per hour.
